I had the flu for a week and I listened to a lot of music.
I listened to Stevie Wonder's " Songs in the Key of Life" I remember so many great songs on that album:
If its magic, then why can't it be everlasting?
Like making sure to dress in style, posing pictures with a smile, keeping danger from a child,
It holds the key to every heart throughout the universe,
it fills you up without a bite, and quenches every thrist...
So....if its magic....why can't it be everlasting?
Or
You bring me joy inside my tears,
ALLLWAAAAYYYYSSS
until dear mother nature says her work is through
Until fish fly and parrots live at sea,
when the earth stops turning right to left,
I will love you....always
or some very old beautiful Spanish love song like,
Eres tu,
Como el agua de mi fuente, eres tu,
como el trigo de mi pan,
Eres tu, asi, asi eres tu....
It is you
Like the water in my fountain,
It is you,
like the wheat in my bread,
It is you, the way you are, It is you....
To love someone like something essential like water to drink and wheat in your bread...that is to love? Always..
Music even makes the worse of illness passable. Bearable.
