The National Museum of Scotland is offering a special program of events relating to the importance of lighthouses. On 16-24 October at 12h15; 13h15; 14h15; and 15h15 visitors will be given the opportunity to assist in building a huge model lighthouse, while at the same time discovering how science and engineering helps save lives.
Other activities on offer during this tie include making your own antique-style map as a guide through troubled waters and designing and making your own lighthouse with craft materials, or make a working lighthouse to take home at the craft science workshop on 20 October between 14h00 and 16h00.
