The German Consulate in Scotland provides a variety of essential services for German citizens either visiting or living in Scotland, as well as for Scots planning journeys to Germany. Within the Consulate you can find the Legal and Consular Matters, Culture, Economy, Politics, Press and Public Relations and Administration sections. German citizens can apply for international marriages, they can certify transcripts and authenticate documents or copies and they can get documents internationally recognized or legalized. The German Consulate also assists in cases where children have been abducted and taken across borders. Visas are handled here as well.
The opening hours of the German Consulate are from 09:00 am to 12:00 am from Monday to Friday. The Consulate also opens from 14:00 pm to 16:00 pm every Wednesday for all those wanting to apply for a German Passport. Those wanting to collect a Visa can come to the German Consulate every Monday and Wednesday from 13:30 pm to 14:00 pm.
