Annual Scottish Food Fortnight
Good food and drink is inextricably linked to the good life in Scotland. While the whisky of Scotland is well known around the world, the traditional foods are also gaining popularity everywhere. The Scots are hearty imbibers of food and drink and would hate to have the traditional meals, particularly the legendary teas of Scotland replaced entirely by fast food and convenience foods. The importance to the economy of consuming local produce cannot be over emphasized.

Fishing in the Lochs of Northwest Scotland
The Northwest highlands of Scotland are largely pristine regions that have countless lochs and rivers. Fishing here is excellent and there are many lochs where no one has ever fished. In addition one can find plenty to do in the scenic outdoors while on a vacation here. Scotland offers something for the entire family and the country is small enough for one to base oneself at one place and make day trips in different directions.
Golfing Vacation in Scotland
Playing golf in Scotland is the ambition of many die hard golfers from the US. But traveling in Scotland and playing golf in Scotland can be very different from what you may be used to at home. Any international travel results in jetlag when your body and eyes say one thing and the local clock another. It may help to give your body some time to recover before you play some serious golf or participate in a tournament.
