Scotland had a tradition of promoting its produce with 'Scottish Weeks'. These were held all over the country but sadly only one city organizes a Scottish Week any more. Peterhead, the most easterly mainland town in Scotland is about to launch the only surviving Scottish Week in the country on July 15th. The Week is less about promoting its produce than about having a good time and encouraging tourists to visit 'Bloo Toon' as Peterhead is affectionately called, locally.
