Cairngorm Reindeer Centre - An Unique Experience

Bring your family along for a unique experience. The Cairngorm Reindeers belong to Britain's only herd of reindeer found free ranging in the Cairngorm Mountains in Scotland. At the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre you can seperate the facts from the fables about reindeers just by spending some time at the centre.

These extremely tame and friendly animals are a joy and fascination to all who come to see them. The quiet, gentle animals are a delight to all ages, especially for children this is a wonderful experience. There are currently around 130 reindeer so there are plenty of them to see. You will be under the supervision of trained guides, so come and enjoy feeding and stroking the reindeers. Bring your camera along to the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre these animals are not shy, so you'll be able to take some pictures for those memorable moments. One thing worth mentioning is that the odd one or two reindeer are not keen on mobile phones. So if you do not want unwelcome attention from the herd it's best not to bring your phones. You can't say you weren't warned.

At the Cairngorm Reindeer Center there are small paddocks where visitors who do not have time to go on a trip up on the hills can see a small group of reindeer that are brought down off the hills which is very convenient for the visitor. However you may choose to join the reindeer herder out on the hillsides where the reindeer graze in their natural environment. You would not want to miss the experience.

During guided visits At the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre you may wander freely among the friendly reindeer stroking and feeding them. The Cairngorm Reindeer Centre offers at least one visit every day to see the herd in the wild, weather permitting. However, as they are wild, they can roam a long way so there's a chance that on some days you won't be able to find them!

Daily visits to the animals involve a five-minute drive and a short walk from the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre, so what you waiting for? Come and enjoy this most wonderful experience for the whole family.
